Assistance League Scholarships
![]() |
Tuition, fees and books are paid for selected scholars. Members from Assistance League mentor students
to help provide success in their chosen fields in Applied Science courses at ACC. Scholarship recipients are selected by the Austin Community College Foundation on the basis of need and desire to learn. They are required to maintain at least six hours per semester and a minimum GPA of 2.0. Preference is given to Austin area students who have a strong desire to become a productive member of this community and who do not have college experience in their family background. |
| Assistance League of Austin funds and generous grants from Sooch, Silverton and Emerson Project Management Foundations have helped the number of students to grow from 10 in 2007-2008 to 35 in 2010-11. Of the 26 scholars we mentored in 2009-2010, ten have graduated. The students are recognized as AL Scholars, AL/Sooch, AL/Silverton, or AL/Emerson Project Management Scholars. |
