Programs

Through our seven philanthropic programs, last year Assistance League of Austin served:

  • 108 assault survivors through distribution of Assault Survivor Kits® to local hospitals with toiletries, clothing and a book on surviving rape
  • Over 609 senior citizens taken on scenic outings with Bus With Us
  • 3,476 students from 117 AISD schools and shelters with a full school wardrobe of new clothing, shoes, book bag and grooming kit through Operation School Bell®. See the School Bell Video in the sidebar
  • 22 students with Occupational/Technical Scholarships to Austin Community College, covering tuition, books, and fees
  • 14,260 children at Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas with gifts from the Toy Cart
  • Waste Not allows Assistance League to repurpose goods that cannot be sold in THRIFT HOUSE or used by our programs
  • Outreach brought special memories to children and families at Christmas this year through teaming with businesses in Austin
