Assault Survivor Kits®
Many times, assault survivors must give their clothing to the police for evidence. Unfortunately, these victims are frequently sent home in paper gowns. Assistance League of Austin provides the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program needed items which include toiletry articles and new clothing for the assault survivor. These men and women can leave the hospital with a little more dignity. Recovery from Rape by Linda Ledray, R.N., Ph.D. is provided to help the survivors with their recovery. This program was initiated in 1996.
